Agra is a typical City of India with an array of history and culture. Agra is a popular city and the main reason why we know about the city is because of the rich history (both Mughal and Colonial) attached to it. People from all over the country and the world make their way to Agra just to witness the tremendous richness is the culture. Starting from the Mughals and then continuing to the British rule, Agra has witnessed many types of war, love and peace. The place has a huge significance in history and hence is a major tourist hotspot in India. Historians, travel enthusiasts and otherwise crowd in large number to be a part of history. Apart from all the historical monuments and structure the place is famous for its rich Mughlai cuisine which will surely excite your taste buds because of the authenticity of the spices that are used. _________________ st john villa |

Many tourists choose to visit Agra on a whistle-stop day trip – made possible by the excellent train services from Delhi. However, Agra’s attractions are much more than can be seen in a day, and if you have the time you can enjoy several days’ sightseeing with side trips to Fatehpur Sikri andMathura. The best time to visit Agra is during the winter season between November and March when the weather is at its best. The city has a lively but chaotic chowk and plenty of places to stay and eat. |
